Two Bible apps for kids are built as a path through the whole Bible in order: **Faithful Kids** (31 series, more than 300 lessons, Genesis to Revelation with the Old Testament first, ages 5 to 15) and **BibleBuddy Kids** ("82 stories from Genesis to Revelation," ages 6 to 8). The rest offer a curated set of famous stories — YouVersion's Bible App for Kids has 41, Guardians of Ancora tells "30 or so" inside a game — or are episode-based series like Superbook, or streaming catalogs like Minno. The difference shows up in what a child knows after a year. On a story-set app they know Noah, David, Daniel, Jonah and the Christmas and Easter stories, and possibly nothing between Joshua and the Exile. On an in-order app they know that Ruth comes after Judges because they watched Judges last month, that the kings came after the judges, and why the exile happened. ## What "in order" gives a child that a story set does not

**The story between the stories.** Genesis to Revelation is one narrative — promise, exile, return, fulfilment — and it only reads that way in sequence. A set of the famous bits teaches the bits.

**The unfamous books.** Judges, Ruth, the two Kings, Ezra and Nehemiah, the minor prophets. Almost no kids' app touches them, and they are where a ten-year-old's "wait, what happened next?" actually gets answered.
