## What Is the Story of The Widow's Oil for Kids?

THE WIDOW'S OIL Series: Elijah & Elisha | Episode 2 Scripture: 1 Kings 17:8-24

Last time, Elijah was camped by a brook, eating room service delivered by ravens. But then the brook dried up. No water. No plan. Just a prophet and an empty stream. So what did God do next? He sent Elijah somewhere even MORE unlikely.

God said: "Go to a town called Zarephath. I've commanded a WIDOW there to feed you." Now hold on — a widow in those days was one of the poorest people in society. No husband meant no income. God was sending Elijah from one impossible situation to another. That's just how My Father rolls.

So Elijah arrives at Zarephath and finds this woman gathering sticks. He calls out, "Hey, could you bring me some water? And while you're at it — a piece of bread?"

This story comes from 1 & 2 Kings and is part of the Old Testament.
