JESUS BEGINS HIS MINISTRY — EPISODE 7 "Healing the Sick" Based on Mark 1:29-45, various
Let me tell you about a day that didn't stop. From sunrise to way past sunset — it was a day that showed exactly why I came.
It started at Simon Peter's house. We walked in after teaching at the synagogue, and Peter's mother-in-law was lying down with a burning fever. She was miserable. I walked over, took her hand, and lifted her up. Just like that — the fever LEFT. Gone. Instantly. And you know what she did? She didn't go lie back down. She got up and started serving everyone dinner! That's the kind of woman she was.
Word spread FAST. By sunset, it felt like the entire town showed up at the door. I'm not exaggerating — people were carrying the sick, leading the blind, supporting those who couldn't walk. The whole city was gathered outside that little house. And I healed them. One by one. Every disease. Every sickness. Every demon that had been tormenting them. I didn't turn a single person away.

Parent's Guide: Why This Story Matters
Every Bible story is an opportunity to talk with your child about faith in a natural, low-pressure way. The goal is simply to make the Bible feel like a living, relevant part of your family's life, not something dusty on a shelf.
