Hey, welcome back! I am so glad you're here because today's story? Oh, it's a wild one. We're talking about spies, giants, and grapes so enormous that two grown men had to carry a single cluster on a pole between them. I'm not exaggerating. This actually happened.

So here's the setup. My people, the Israelites, have been traveling through the desert, and they're finally right on the doorstep of the Promised Land — Canaan. This is the land God promised to Abraham way back in the day. Flowing with milk and honey. The real deal.

Moses says, "Alright, let's send in twelve spies to scope the place out." One spy from each tribe. Among them? Two guys you need to remember: Joshua and Caleb. Keep those names locked in your brain.

The twelve spies sneak into Canaan, and what they find is absolutely incredible. The land is gorgeous. The fruit is ridiculous — pomegranates, figs, and those monster grapes I told you about. They cut down a single cluster so heavy it took two men and a pole just to haul it back. Can you imagine showing up to your family barbecue with THAT?

But here's where things go sideways.

Ten of the spies come back shaking in their sandals. "The people there are GIANTS," they say. "We felt like grasshoppers next to them! There's no way we can take that land!"

Now hold on. Did God promise them that land? Yes. Did God just rescue them from Egypt with plagues and miracles and split an entire sea in half? Also yes. But fear has a way of making you forget everything God has already done.

Then Joshua and Caleb step up. These two look at the same giants, the same fortified cities, and say, "We can absolutely do this — because God is with us! Don't be afraid!"

And the people? They side with the ten scared spies. They even talk about stoning Joshua and Caleb. Stoning them! For having faith!

God was deeply disappointed. And the consequence was serious: that entire generation would wander in the desert for forty years. They wouldn't get to enter the Promised Land. Forty years — because they chose fear over faith.

Here's what I want you to grab onto today. You're going to face things in life that look way too big — problems, challenges, situations that seem impossible. And you'll have a choice. You can listen to the voice of fear, or you can trust the One who has never broken a promise.

I have never failed anyone who trusted Me. Not once. And I'm not about to start with you.

So what's it going to be — grasshopper thinking, or Joshua-and-Caleb faith?
