Hey kids! Pull up a seat because today's story is one that honestly still gets to me — and I was THERE.

I was traveling along the border between Samaria and Galilee, heading toward Jerusalem. And as I entered a village, I heard them before I saw them. Ten voices. Ragged. Desperate. Crying out from a distance.

"Jesus! MASTER! Have pity on us!"

These were ten men with leprosy. And you need to understand — leprosy wasn't just a disease back then. It was a DEATH SENTENCE socially. You couldn't touch anyone. You couldn't hug your kids. You couldn't go to the synagogue, the market, ANYWHERE. People crossed the street when they saw you coming. You had to shout "UNCLEAN!" wherever you walked. Can you imagine? These men were completely cut off from everyone they loved.

So they stood at a distance — because that's what the law required — and they SCREAMED for help.

And here's what I did. I didn't walk over and touch them. I didn't wave my hand. I just said six words: "Go, show yourselves to the priests."

Now THAT was a test. Because you only show yourself to the priest AFTER you've been healed. I was asking them to act on faith BEFORE they saw the miracle. And you know what? All ten of them turned around and started walking.

And AS they were going — mid-step, mid-stride — their skin cleared. Their sores vanished. Their fingers straightened. TEN men, healed completely, all at once.

But here's the part that broke my heart.

Only ONE came back.

ONE out of ten turned around, ran to me, threw himself at my feet, and praised God at the top of his lungs. And guess what? He was a Samaritan — an outsider, someone the religious crowd looked down on.

I looked around and asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?"

Then I told him, "Rise and go. Your faith has made you well."

Nine got healing. But only ONE got the full blessing — because he came back with a grateful heart.

Here's my challenge for you: don't be one of the nine. When God answers a prayer, when something good happens, when you make it through a hard week — STOP. Turn around. Say thank you. Gratitude isn't just good manners. It's an act of faith. It tells God, "I SEE what you did, and I don't take it for granted."
