What Is the Story of The Garden and the Fall for Kids?
Welcome back, friend! Last time we watched God create the entire universe. Today? Things take a turn. This is the story of the most beautiful place that ever existed — and the day everything changed.
Picture the Garden of Eden. I'm not talking about a regular garden with some tomatoes and a fence. This was paradise. Rivers of crystal-clear water. Trees bursting with fruit you've never even imagined. Animals everywhere — and none of them were afraid. A lion could lie down next to a lamb. And the best part? God Himself would walk through the garden and hang out with Adam and Eve. Face to face. Like friends.
Now God gave Adam and Eve the entire garden. Every tree, every fruit — it was all theirs. But there was one rule. Just one. God said, "See that tree in the middle of the garden? The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil? Don't eat from it. If you do, you will die."
Enter the serpent — the craftiest creature in the garden. He slithered up to Eve and said, "Did God really say you can't eat from ANY tree?" See what he did there? He twisted God's words. Eve corrected him, but the serpent pushed harder: "You won't die! God knows if you eat it, you'll become just like Him."
This story comes from Genesis 2-3 and is part of the Old Testament.
