EXILE & FAITH — EPISODE 7: VALLEY OF DRY BONES

Alright — this one is wild. I mean, really wild. If the last few episodes felt heavy, this one is where hope starts breaking through the ground like a seed that refused to quit. But it starts in the creepiest place imaginable.
God takes the prophet Ezekiel — picks him up by His Spirit — and sets him down right in the middle of a valley. But this isn't a beautiful valley with wildflowers and streams. This valley is full of bones. Human bones. Dry, bleached, scattered-everywhere bones. Thousands and thousands of them, as far as Ezekiel can see.
These bones have been dead a LONG time. No flesh. No skin. No life. Just dust and death.
And God asks Ezekiel a question: "Son of man — can these bones live?"
Now think about that. You're standing in a graveyard that stretches to the horizon. Everything is dead. And God asks you — can this come back?
Ezekiel gives the only honest answer: "Lord God, only You know."
That's faith right there. He didn't say no. He didn't laugh. He said — I don't see how, but if anyone can do it, it's You.
Then God says, "Prophesy to these bones. Tell them: dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!"
So Ezekiel opens his mouth and speaks God's words over a valley of death. And the SECOND he starts — there's a sound. A rattling. A clicking. Bones start sliding across the dirt, connecting to other bones. Skeletons assembling themselves. Then muscle appears. Then flesh wraps around them. Then skin covers everything.
But they're still not breathing. They're just... bodies.
God says, "Now prophesy to the breath." Ezekiel does — and wind rushes into the valley from every direction. Breath fills their lungs. Eyes open. They stand up on their feet — a VAST army. Thousands upon thousands, alive and standing.
God tells Ezekiel what it means: "These bones are My people Israel. They say, 'Our hope is lost. We are cut off.' But I will open your graves and bring you back. I will put My Spirit in you, and you will LIVE."
Here's what this means for YOU. Maybe something in your life feels completely dead right now. A dream. A friendship. Your confidence. Your hope. Maybe you look at your situation and think — there's no coming back from this.
But I'm telling you — nothing is too dead, too broken, or too far gone for God to breathe life into. He specializes in resurrections. Trust Me on that one.
