THE RISE OF KINGS — Episode 9: The Fall of King Saul Based on 1 Samuel 28, 31 | Narrated by Jesus
Hey. This episode is different. This one is heavy. Today we're going to watch a king fall — and it's one of the saddest stories in the entire Bible.
Saul is in trouble. The Philistine army is gathering for a massive attack, and for the first time in a long time, Saul is terrified. He needs to hear from God. He tries praying — silence. He tries dreams — nothing. He asks the prophets — no answer. God has stopped speaking to Saul. And honestly? Saul stopped listening to God a long time ago.
So in his desperation, Saul does the WORST possible thing. He goes to a medium — a woman at Endor who claimed she could talk to the dead. This was something God had strictly FORBIDDEN. Saul himself had banned these practices from Israel! But now he's so desperate he disguises himself and goes at night, begging her to call up the spirit of the prophet Samuel.
This story comes from 1 Samuel and is part of the Old Testament.
