So Gideon has finally said yes to God. He sends out the call, and thirty-two thousand soldiers show up, ready to fight. Sounds pretty good, right? Except the Midianite army is enormous — spread across the valley like locusts, with more camels than you could count.
But then I tell Gideon something that makes zero sense: "You have TOO MANY soldiers."
Too many?! They're already outnumbered! But here's what I was doing. I wanted everyone to know that THIS victory came from God, not from military muscle.
