Elijah said, "Stay here — the Lord is sending me to Bethel." Elisha's response? "As surely as the Lord lives, I will NOT leave you." So they went to Bethel together. Then Elijah said, "Stay here — the Lord is sending me to Jericho." Same answer from Elisha: "I will NOT leave you." Then again to the Jordan River. Same thing. Elisha. Would. Not. Quit.
