What Is the Story of The Still Small Voice for Kids?
THE STILL SMALL VOICE Series: Elijah & Elisha | Episode 4 Scripture: 1 Kings 19
So you'd think after calling down FIRE FROM HEAVEN and proving God is real in front of the whole nation, Elijah would be on top of the world, right? Riding high? Full of confidence? Yeah... that's not what happened. What happened next is one of the most real and important parts of this whole story. So pay close attention.
Queen Jezebel heard what Elijah did to her prophets of Baal, and she sent him a message: "By tomorrow, you'll be DEAD — just like them." And Elijah — the same man who just stared down 450 false prophets without blinking — RAN. He ran for his life. All the way into the wilderness.
He sat down under a broom tree, completely alone, and said: "I've had enough, Lord. Take my life. I'm no better than my ancestors." The greatest prophet in Israel... wanted to die.
This story comes from 1 & 2 Kings and is part of the Old Testament.
