Let me tell you about the moment I gave my followers the biggest assignment in history.
After I rose from the dead, I told my disciples to meet me on a mountain in Galilee. All eleven of them came. When they saw me, most of them worshiped immediately. But some hesitated. Some doubted. And you know what? I gave the mission to ALL of them — the confident ones AND the doubters. I do not wait for you to be perfect before I use you.
I walked toward them and said something that shook the ground they were standing on.
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
Let that sink in. ALL authority. Not some. Not most. ALL. In heaven AND on earth. There is no place where I am not in charge. No situation beyond my reach. No problem bigger than my power.
And then I said: "Therefore GO."
Not "sit." Not "wait until you feel ready." Not "go when you have it all figured out." GO.
"Go and make disciples of ALL nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you."
This was not a suggestion. This was a commission — a mission given with authority. I was sending eleven ordinary men to reach the entire world. Fishermen. Tax collectors. Regular people. They did not have money, fame, or armies. But they had something better — they had ME.
And then I said the part that changes everything: "And surely I am with you ALWAYS, to the very end of the age."
Always. Not "sometimes." Not "when things are easy." ALWAYS. To the VERY end.
Now here is what I need you to understand. This commission was not just for the eleven. It is for YOU too. You do not have to be a pastor or a missionary in another country — though you could be! Your school is a mission field. Your neighborhood is a mission field. Your friend group, your sports team, your family — those are YOUR nations.
You do not need to be an adult to start. You do not need a degree. You do not need permission from anyone but me. You already have it. I just gave it to you.
Go. Make disciples. Teach what I taught you. And never forget — I am with you. Always.
LESSON: Every follower of Jesus has a mission. The Great Commission is not just for pastors or adults — it is for you, right now, wherever you are. And Jesus promises to be with you every step of the way.
